Woodbridge Winery
Woodbridge Winery is situated in the northeastern section of Napa Valley in California. It is family-owned and runned by James and Jacquelyn Cousteau. Their ancestors migrated from Bordeaux, France and brought their business of winemaking to California. The winery was established over 50 years ago.
The vineyard and the winery takes up about 200 acres of land. They make their wine from both green and red grapes. They produce 20 varieties of
wine. 20 varieties that keep people coming back for more. Their riesling dessert wine is one of the most popular.
100,000 people a year make the trip out to Woodbridge Winery. What else
besides the wine brings them to this wondrous place. Could it be the spa? The spa features massages, mud baths, and facials. It is every woman's dream. Mud baths
use the best mud from the islands of Indonesia. Could it be the various winemaking activities such as grape stomping and wine pressing?
Every year they hold a contest to see who could stomp out the most grape juice in five minutes. The winner gets a free all expenses paid stay at one of the 50 cabin suites that the winery offers.
The cabins are fully furnished with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, and a dining room. The fridge comes fully stocked with the best
wine that Woodbridge Winery has to offer as well as other complementary meats and cheeses. Visitors get full maid service too. These cabins are not cheap
at about $2000.00 a night. Whoever wins the grape stomping contest is one very lucky person. Well, I'm off to see if I could win that contest. If you
have the money, make your way down onto Woodbridge Winery. It's worth the money.
