History

Vine started in December 2001 by two friends, Jeffrey Reed and Suzanne Graves. Jeffrey was previously a news editor for a local newspaper in the Napa Valley area in California and Suzanne also worked at the same newspaper as a senior reporter. They both had a hobby and a passion for tasting wine. After retiring from the newspaper game, they decided to take the skills they learned from newspapers and their passion for wine to create an online magazine for people such as themselves. They wanted a place where all things wine could be put under a spotlight. They wanted to give quick, easy, and informative answers about wine via the Internet. Thus, Vine was born to relay this information to the masses.
